Once the base coat is dry, use 400-600 grit sandpaper to smooth the surface. Then, use 2000 grit sandpaper with a polishing tool to ensure a smooth surface, ensuring any impurities from the old paint are removed. Application of WB-340 and Common Clear CoatOne car door was sprayed with WB-340 Seamless Clear Coat, and the other with a common clear coat found in the market. We used the same process on both doors to ensure a fair comparison. One of the key differences during the application is that WB-340 seamlessly blends with the existing paint, achieving a flawless repair. Baking and PolishingAfter 15 minutes of baking and 10 minutes of cooling, the surfaces were polished. The WB-340 door showed no visible transition marks between the original paint and the new clear coat, whereas the common clear coat had clear visible seams. Texture ComparisonWhen viewed from the side, the texture of the WB-340-treated surface perfectly matches the original paint, showing no signs of the repair. This is particularly noticeable on vehicles that require an exact texture match, such as German and Japanese models. Adhesion TestThe adhesion test was conducted by scoring both car doors with a crosshatch pattern using a blade.
