The MA5C Spectrophotometer is designed for accurate evaluation of metallic and pearlescent automotive paints.
It uses five standard measurement angles (15°, 25°, 45°, 75°, 110°) to simulate how the human eye perceives color under different lighting conditions, ensuring precise assessment of special effect finishes.
High-Resolution Camera
Captures multi-angle HD images of the target panel. This allows side-by-side comparison with formulas, resulting in more accurate formula selection and faster correction.
Granularity Detection
Granularity refers to the particle size of aluminum flakes and pearls. Matching granularity is essential for a perfect refinish.
Level 1: Fine silver or pearl
Level 9: Coarse or mixed flakes
The MA5C identifies particle size, enabling the software to select and fine-tune formulas with higher accuracy.
Our advanced software integrates seamlessly with the MA5C and supports 14 languages, compatible with PC, tablet, and mobile.
Core Functions:
Fast Color Search – Find the closest formula within 10 seconds. Automatic correction adjusts formulas instantly.
Comprehensive Data – View colorimetric data, ΔE values, spectral curves, granularity, and HD images of both standard and formula panels.
Formula Database – Search by car manufacturer, global color code, color name, or internal code.
The system provides multiple formula options. Selection is based on:
Image Comparison – Evaluate hue and depth from spectrophotometer-captured images.
Granularity Match – Keep within 1.0–1.2 for best accuracy.
Spectral Curve Overlap – Higher overlap across all five angles means closer match.
Formula Scoring – Corrected formulas usually score lower (better).
Direct Match – If the exact OEM code appears in corrected formulas, it can be used directly.
If no exact match is found, the database allows manual analysis of spectral curves and particle size data, enabling users to compare and refine formulas for the closest possible result.
